LEARN MORE ABOUT ME

I am a licensed mental health counselor and registered art therapist based in Milton, MA. My therapeutic approach focuses on developing a safe and supportive environment for my clients to feel comfortable and confident engaging in therapeutic work. I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, while grounding my work in psychodynamic and expressive therapy modalities.

I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Miami and then pursued my master’s in clinical mental health counseling with a specialization in art therapy. I completed my clinical practicum at McLean-Franciscan’s Community-Based Acute Treatment (CBAT) program. After graduating in 2018, I worked for The Home for Little Wanderers in their school-based counseling service and spent two years working within the Boston Public Schools system. In June 2020, I transitioned to one of The Home’s residential facilities where I worked with male-identifying youth ages 13-18 involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Through these experiences, I gained skills in navigating the special education system, understanding community-based mental health resources, developing group protocols, and supporting those who have experienced complex trauma and marginalization.

The bulk of my professional work has focused on children and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, identity development, relational challenges, life transitions, and learning disabilities. I have additional experience working with families and parents in therapy and consultation. I am passionate about supporting individuals who have undergone trauma and helping them process and heal from these experiences. In addition, I am an enthusiastic group therapist with expertise in addressing therapy goals utilizing expressive arts modalities. I will also soon be offering group therapy here at Verge!

Outside of work, I continue to make art and use acrylic painting techniques for self-care and creative expression. I love spending quality time with family and friends while taking care of my small rescue pup, Suzie. Suzie has experience working as a therapy dog and is a cuddly, friendly pup who welcomes anyone she meets.
